GBV Katina Ceremony 2020 on Oct. 09th & 10th

As you may well understand, the Katina Ceremony this year will be held onsite at the GBV on 09th and 10th October (Friday-Saturday) with limited participation of the Katina 2020 sponsor families only, and 
YOU ARE WARMLY INVITED TO PARTICIPATE ONLINE AT THE GBV EVENTS YOUTUBE CHANNEL.


Friday, October 9th – Maha Piritha (Live on )

4.00 pm - 4.30 pm – Offering of Evening Buddha Pooja

4.30 pm - 6.30 pm - Pirith Deshana/Maha Piritha and Dhammacakka Deshana

6.30 pm - End of the Program.

 

Saturday, October 10th - Katina Ceremony

5.30 am - 6.00 am   - Bringing the Katina Robe to the Temple by Devotees

7.00 am - 7.30 am   - Offering of Morning Buddha Pooja 

7.30 am - 8.15 am   - Offering of Heel Dana to Mahasanga

9:00 am - 10.30 am - Dhamma Discussion  (Live on )

10.45 am - 11.15 am - Offering of Dahawal Buddha Pooja  (Live on )

11.15 am - 12.00 pm - Offering of Dana to Mahasanga

12.00 pm - 1.30 pm - Break

2.30 pm onwards - Katina Program  (Live on )

                                 Offering the Katina Cheewara to The Mahasanga 

                                 Offering Pirikara to Mahasanga
