Vesak 2020 will be celebrated online on Saturday, May 9th, 2020, from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm. We invite you all to join the program.

We are celebrating Vesak 2020 adhering to the social distancing on Saturday, May 09th, 2020, from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm. Georgia Buddhist Vihara warmly invites you to be a part of the triple commemoration online at home. The Vesak Festival is celebrated around the world for three events of the utmost significance in the life of Prince Siddhartha, who became a Buddha – His Birth, his attainment of Enlightenment, and his passing away.

 

Notes:

·        GBV Vesak 2020 is a full-day online program on Saturday, May 9th, 2020, at 7:30 am – 6:30 pm.

·        We invite you all to observe eight precepts at home. You can have your breakfast before the program at 7:30 am and can have Lunch after the Buddha Puja at 11:00 am.

·        In the morning, at 9:00 am, we have two breakout sessions with English and Sinhala medium. Please note that the Sinhala medium session is continuing with the same meeting room, and the English session will have a different link. (See below)

·        In the afternoon, we have two invited Dhamma Sessions from Bhante Suthadara and Bhante Kondañña from the Ventura Buddhist Center, Ventura, CA, and Staten Island Buddhist Vihara, Staten Island, NY, respectively.
