We are celebrating Vesak 2022 adhering to the social distancing on Saturday, May 09th, 2020, from 7:30 am to 8:30 pm. Georgia Buddhist Vihara warmly invites you to be a part of the triple commemoration online at home. The Vesak Festival is celebrated around the world for three events of the utmost significance in the life of Prince Siddhartha, who became a Buddha – His Birth, his attainment of Enlightenment, and his passing away.

Observation of Five Precepts for those who observe Sil, Punnyanumodana, & Conclusion by Bhante Deepankara |
1. Mind precedes all mental states. Mind is their chief; they are all mind-wrought. If with an impure mind a person speaks or acts suffering follows him like the wheel that follows the foot of the ox.
2. Mind precedes all mental states. Mind is their chief; they are all mind-wrought. If with a pure mind a person speaks or acts happiness follows him like his never-departing shadow.
